The Production supervisor is responsible for leading and developing employees to achieve goals and smooth daily operations at production floor.
Oversee and coordinate daily operations across the entire shop floor, including production, material handling, and logistics activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of production schedules and customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Work closely with the Factory Manager to plan, coordinate, and control daily production activities, priorities, staffing requirements, and workflow.
Monitor production performance, including output, quality, efficiency, scrap, and downtime, and take corrective actions when required.
Train, mentor, and certify new employees on workstations, processes, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
Conduct regular follow-ups with employees to ensure competency, performance, and adherence to company standards.
Ensure all employees follow established quality standards and work instructions, while coordinating with the Global Quality team to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
Identify production issues, escalate equipment, material, or quality concerns, and support problem-solving activities.
Create and manage employee work schedules, assign daily tasks, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate production coverage.
Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory teams to support material planning, purchasing requirements, and transportation needs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
Participate in employee recruitment, onboarding, performance discussions, and development activities in collaboration with HR and the Factory Manager.
Address employee concerns and mediate workplace issues to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer requirements and business objectives are met.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation as required.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication between production employees and management
Work closely with the Inventory Specialist to maintain material availability, identify shortages, and support accurate inventory control.
Ensure required materials, tools, and resources are available to support uninterrupted production.
