We are currently looking for a Sewer/ Grading Foreman to join our team! Their responsibilities and job requirements are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels, GPS, or lasers
- Perform other duties as required
- Logging daily hours and productions for submittal
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings outlining daily scope of work and hazards associated
- Organize and supervise crew for daily tasks
- Work with superintendent to plan and execute work
Requirements
- Must have 3+ years of experience running a crew
- + 5 years’ experience in sewer and watermain construction.
- Working hours +10 hours per day, 5 days per week and occasional night or weekend work
- Ability to work with others and give direction to the workers on site.
- Health and Safety training/Knowledge- Confined Space, trenching and excavation, First Aid/CPR an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans/ blueprints
- Strong knowledge of OPS and City of Ottawa standards and specifications; as well as pipelaying techniques directly related to sewer and water- Watermain, Sanitary and Storm.
