Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and proficient with dental and medical office procedures. Experience with electronic medical records and dental software is highly valued, along with strong communication skills. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk check-in process
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
- Take and record patient medical history, update electronic medical records accurately
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries and appointment requests
- Collect payments, process insurance claims, and verify patient insurance information using Epic or other systems
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and treatment rooms
- Provide administrative support such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control procedures
Experience
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Epic, Dentrix, or similar electronic dental records systems is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and general healthcare
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and managing front desk operations in a medical or dental office environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Prior administrative experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific software tools
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Pay: $19.30-$28.00 per hour
