To fabricate pieces of metal together using appropriate high heat equipment to melt metal into shape, including reviewing blueprints/drawings
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate product, sub-assemblies and components for production
- Read, interpret and understand layout and measurements per drawings and revisions as directed
- Fabricate metal assemblies & weldments
- All types of welding, fabricating, but mostly MIG welding of structural steel and aluminum
- Be familiar with structural fabrication forming and other fabrication processes
- Cut and join metal parts for fabrication or repair vehicle equipment, tools and other articles
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent education
- Welder Trade Certification/CWB certification / C-ticket or higher an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Covid-19 Vaccinated
- Be able to use technical drawings and various other specs and verbal instructions for planning and accomplishing the goal
- Be able to inspect your work and meet deadlines
- Uphold all applicable company OHS policies
- Work either alone or with a small team on a wide range of projects
