Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Butchers Assistant with proficiency in Arabic to join our team. This role involves supporting the butchery operations, ensuring quality food preparation, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in food handling and meat cutting, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes food safety and proper packaging. Fluency in Arabic is required to assist our diverse customer base effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meat cutting, trimming, and preparation according to established standards
- Support the butchery team in food handling and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations
- Prepare and package meat products for sale or distribution, maintaining quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and tools
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering inquiries in Arabic
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or quality issues
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, especially in food preparation, butchery, or kitchen work preferred
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food handling procedures
- Understanding of food safety standards and packaging protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate fluently in Arabic
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects safely
- Prior experience with kitchen equipment or food processing tools is a plus
