Kitchen Manager & Events Coordinator
Burger Rebellion – Corunna Location
Burger Rebellion is hiring a Kitchen Manager & Events Coordinator for our Corunna, ON location.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day kitchen management while also helping us create and execute fun, engaging events for our customers and community.
This is a part-time component in addition to the kitchen management role, focused on planning and executing a select number of internal and external events throughout the year.
The Kitchen Manager Role
At least two years of kitchen experience is a must. Some duties will include:
- Placing food and supply orders
- Ensuring service and food preparation standards are met and maintained
- Training new staff
- Coaching and developing existing staff
- Managing kitchen flow and staff during busy service
- Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient kitchen
- Identifying ways to improve speed, quality and consistency
- Taking ownership of the kitchen and ensuring things get done, including cooking.
The Events Component
We also want someone who enjoys creating experiences—not just making great food.
A portion of this position will involve planning, organizing and executing a limited number of events throughout the year, including both in-house and off-site events.
Examples could include:
- Kids' birthday parties
- Family days
- Special craft or activity events
- Holiday or seasonal events
- Customer appreciation events
- Community events
- Special Burger Rebellion promotions
- A limited number of off-site events each year
You'll help take events from idea → planning → execution, including coordinating activities, food, staff, supplies, setup and teardown.
We aren't looking for someone to run events every weekend. Rather, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of a select number of fun, well-executed events throughout the year and help us continue building Burger Rebellion as a place where people want to hang out—not just grab a burger.
Here's the kind of person we need:
You are energetic and excited to come to work.
You love the challenge of a dinner rush and the satisfaction of a clear board and smiling customers.
You love to figure out ways to do things better and faster, without diminishing quality.
You love a clean work environment so much!
You like to arrive early to your shifts and get in the zone.
You've been told you can assess a situation, know what needs to get done, and do it.
Once trained, you rarely need to be told what to do—you know what to do.
People love working on your shift with you and for you.
You enjoy interacting with customers and having the flexibility to solve any problems that leaves them satisfied.
And ideally, you love putting together a great event just as much as you love running a great kitchen.
If this is you, we want to hear from you!
To be considered for this position, please send us your Cover Letter and Resume.
Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
