Job Title: Material Handler/Forklift Operator
Job Summary: We are hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to work with our growing food manufacturing client in London as they continue to build their local team! The successful candidate will move raw materials, finished products, and inventory throughout the facility.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Job Location: London, ON. 100% on site.
Shift Structure: Afternoon Shift (3-11PM), Flexible on OT and Weekends as Required
Compensation Structure: $20.00-$23.00 per hour (depending on experience) + benefits

Responsibilities:
· Load, unload, and safely move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, or manual handling methods, ensuring products are properly stacked and secured.
· Deliver raw materials from staging areas to designated workstations or storage locations.
· Transfer finished goods from production areas to shipping docks or designated holding areas.
· Scan and accurately record inventory movements using ERP and barcode scanning systems.
· Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts as required.
· Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, or material issues to the Inventory or Production team.
· Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging products for delivery.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all established safety procedures.
· Adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, including WHMIS, OSHA, and company-specific policies and procedures.
· Provide timely, just-in-time material support to production teams to help maintain workflow and minimize downtime.
· Communicate with supervisors regarding material shortages, delays, quality issues, or other concerns that may impact production.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent education
· 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or related work environment
· Prior experience in food manufacturing is strongly preferred
· Previous forklift operating experience; valid forklift certification is considered an asset
· Experience with order picking and operating an order picker
· Ability to read and understand work orders, packing slips, and inventory-related documentation
· Basic mathematical and inventory management skills
· Familiarity with ERP systems, barcode scanners, or inventory management software is an asset
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work comfortably around machinery and equipment
· Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
· Ability to frequently lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs
· Physically capable of bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling materials as required
· Comfortable working in varying temperatures based on the production and warehouse environment
