Hard Scrabble Blooms is hiring a Field Worker to help with seasonal fieldwork from July through October. This role is not appropriate for a current student as day shifts are required for the duration of the job.
About the Role
We’re looking for someone to support the core tasks that keep our flower farm running smoothly. The work is outdoors, physical, and rewarding — perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on and seeing the results of their efforts bloom (literally).
Main tasks include:
- Weeding and bed maintenance
- Planting successions and fall crops
- Harvesting flowers and foliage - must have an attention for detail
- Occasional help with bouquet prep and general farm tasks
Requirements
- Must have previous experience working outdoors, preferably in farming, landscaping, or horticulture
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Able to lift, bend, kneel, and be on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to and from our farm in Wabash
- Dependable, efficient, and ready to learn

- Part-time, 3-4 days per week (flexible scheduling based on workload and weather)
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Mid/Late October
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
