Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Lawn Care Driver to join our landscaping team. This role involves overseeing lawn maintenance projects, operating various equipment, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and construction, with the ability to lead a team effectively. A valid driver’s license and mechanical aptitude are essential for this position, which offers an opportunity to work on diverse outdoor projects using a variety of tools and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Operate lawn care equipment including mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain residential and commercial properties
- Lead and coordinate a team of lawn care technicians to ensure timely completion of projects
- Drive company vehicles safely to multiple job sites while adhering to all traffic regulations
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and irrigation system installation or repair
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment like excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with excavation, irrigation setup, and other horticultural tasks as needed
- Maintain safety standards on-site and ensure team compliance with safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is required
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and small machinery is highly desirable
- Prior experience operating excavators or other construction machinery is a plus
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance practices in outdoor settings
- Leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of horticultural principles and landscape design concepts is advantageous
