InnovOak School is seeking exceptional Senior School teachers to join our growing team.
Multiple teaching opportunities are available as a result of continued enrolment growth, expanded course offerings, and planned retirements. We are seeking outstanding teachers across a variety of subject areas who are passionate about their discipline and committed to helping students succeed.
Teaching assignments will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, teaching experience, subject expertise, and the needs of the school. Teachers may be assigned one or more Grade 9 to 12 courses and may teach Junior Secondary (Grades 9 and 10), Senior Secondary (Grades 11 and 12), or a combination of both.
InnovOak School is an inspected Ontario independent school authorized to grant the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Our senior program combines rigorous academics, small class sizes, meaningful teacher-student relationships, and high expectations. Students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and prepare for university, college, apprenticeships, and future careers.

InnovOak offers two Senior School course models.
Session Courses
Session courses run daily for approximately 110 minutes and are completed within one academic session.

Full-Year Courses
Full-year courses meet daily for approximately 50 minutes throughout the school year.
Teaching loads will vary depending on course offerings, enrolment, and teacher expertise.
The successful candidate will:

Teach one or more Ontario secondary school courses.

Deliver engaging instruction aligned with Ontario curriculum expectations.

Create a classroom culture built on respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.

Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learners.

Assess and evaluate student achievement in accordance with Growing Success.

Maintain accurate grades, assessment records, and course documentation.

Develop unit plans, assessments, culminating activities, and examinations.

Maintain inspection-ready course materials throughout the school year.

Submit course documentation and assessment evidence as part of InnovOak's inspection readiness process.

Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and student achievement.

Build positive relationships with students and families.

Contribute positively to the broader life of the school.

Is organized and able to maintain detailed course documentation.

Is comfortable participating in ministry inspection preparation and continuous school improvement.

Ontario College of Teachers certification or eligibility for certification is strongly preferred.

Bachelor of Education completed or in progress is preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in the subject area(s) being taught.

Ontario secondary teaching experience beyond tutoring is considered an asset.

Experience teaching OSSD courses is considered an asset.

Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success assessment and evaluation practices is expected.

Experience in an inspected Ontario secondary school, independent school, or Cambridge program is considered an asset.
