Position Description
This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and is responsible for the technical support of field technicians, both via telephone and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Represent Delta’s core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow and provide feedback/constant improvement of Electrical Engineering Department procedures.
- Provide field support and troubleshooting on and off site for elevator control systems.
- Document issues and resolutions.
- Develop thorough understanding of DMPC product through job shadowing and Q & A.
- Assist with electronic drafting and design for new and existing elevator controls.
- Assist in Electrical Manufacturing as required (wiring and testing).
- Assist R&D team in development and testing of new products.
- Achieve deadlines as set in assigned tasks.
- Compose technical documentation and product manuals.
- Conduct training sessions and develop training materials.
- Provide “off hours” support via company supplied cell phone and remote connection.
- Diagnose & Repair circuits returned from field.
- Obtain EDM-T designation to assist with field troubleshooting.
- Assist sales team with technical inquires.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technologist or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of VBA
- Electronic drafting abilities - AutoCad preferred.
- Thorough understanding of electrical principles.
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem- solving skills.
- Technical writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
