Join a growing Canadian manufacturer that designs and builds commercial greenhouse systems used by professional growers across North America. From vegetables and flowers to nursery stock and tree seedlings, our greenhouse structures help produce the plants people depend on every day.
Located in Vineland, Ontario (just outside Grimsby), we're looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to join our Shipping and Production team. This is a full-time, on-site position with an established company where quality workmanship, teamwork and safety are valued.
This is a diverse role where no two days are the same. One day you may be manufacturing greenhouse components in our production facility, and the next you could be preparing customer orders, loading trucks, or making local deliveries.
Why This Role Matters:
We don't just shift pallets around a smooth warehouse floor. We manufacture greenhouse components that require a critical eye to secure safely. You are not just a driver; you are the ultimate safety anchor. You will work side-by-side with our primary operator to inspect, secure, and guarantee that every complex flatbed load is road-safe before transport.
What You Will Do:
- Master Load Security: Act as the final eyes and ears for securing oversized greenhouse structures on trucks and trailers.
- Precision Material Handling: Safely operate heavy forklifts to maneuver, pick, and pack awkward, long, or bulky manufacturing components.
- Local Deliveries: Drive a company pickup truck while confidently towing and reversing a trailer for local drops.
- Blueprint Execution: Read manufacturing blueprints and production drawings to accurately build parts to exact specifications.
- Team Operations: Assist with shipping, receiving, and organizing to keep promised ship dates.
What You Bring:
- Proven Forklift Expertise: Minimum 2–3 years of active forklift experience, ideally handling oversized, non-palletized, or un-even loads.
- Rigging & Strapping Skills: Strong background in load securement, tie-down techniques, and transport safety regulations.
- Clean Driving Abstract: A valid driver's license with comfortable, proven experience towing and backing up trailers.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read basic production layouts or technical drawings.
- Hands-on Drive: Enjoys physical, hands-on work in an active manufacturing and yard environment.
- Reliability: Is dependable, punctual, and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.
- Team & Solo Versatility: Works well independently and as a collaborative part of the production team.
- Adaptability: Can easily adapt to changing priorities—no two days are exactly alike on our floor.
- Core Values: Deeply committed to quality workmanship and maintaining strict workplace safety protocols
What We Bring:
- Competitive Pay: Starting wage at $25.00 per hour.
- Retirement Savings: Future-focused RRSP program to help you save for the long term.
- Health & Wellness: Comprehensive company benefits package included.
- Gear Covered: High-quality company shirts and caps provided at zero cost to you.
- Great Culture: We are a genuinely friendly bunch who value a positive, low-drama workplace.
- Monthly Team Lunches: We like to eat together! We host free company lunches once a month to catch up and unwind.
