About the Opportunity
Essence Cabinets is looking for an experienced Delivery Driver. The Driver will load and unload cabinets safely while adhering to the delivery schedule. In this role you will be required to schedule routes by maximizing time management skills; Loading, unloading, and preparing delivery vehicles; Delivering products to customers; Completing delivery logs and reports; Ensuring inventory loads match delivery documents; Inspecting and maintaining a vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues as required; and working closely with other departments to ensure products needed for customer orders are delivered on a timely basis.
The expectations of this role are that the individual must comply with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures; provide exceptional support to both internal and external clients while building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent routing skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and logistical knowledge of the city of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
This position requires heavy lifting, up to 150 lbs with assistance. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, with the length of the day varying depending on the number of deliveries scheduled.
A clean Class 5 driver’s abstract is required..

You have excellent analytical and effective problem-solving skills and take the initiative to offer solutions to improve written and verbal communication. You can set priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
The Successful Candidate will have the following requirements satisfied
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing environment
- Unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clean driver’s abstract to be provided prior to offer of employment being issued
