Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay: $24 per hour (based on experience)
We are currently seeking an experienced Metal Polisher for a full-time, permanent position in Concord. This role requires strong, hands-on experience grinding, buffing, and polishing metal components particularly stainless steel to a high-quality finish.
Responsibilities
- Grind, deburr, and polish stainless steel and other metal components to remove weld marks, scratches, and surface imperfections.
- Operate hand-held and bench-mounted grinders, buffers, and polishing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and finishing specifications.
- Select appropriate abrasives, compounds, and tools based on metal type and required finish.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with company safety standards.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and production team members to meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Metal Polisher / Finisher in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (required).
- Strong hands-on experience polishing stainless steel components (required).
- Experience with hand grinders, buffing wheels, and polishing compounds.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in food processing, pharmaceutical, or sanitary manufacturing environments is an asset.
