Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Public Speaking and Debating Instructors to join our educational team. In this role, you will guide students in developing their communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills through engaging lessons and interactive activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting. This position offers an opportunity to inspire confidence and foster effective speaking abilities in learners of various ages.
Duties
- Design and deliver engaging lessons on public speaking, debate techniques, and effective communication strategies
- Facilitate classroom discussions, debates, and speech exercises to enhance students’ confidence and skills
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their presentation style and argumentation skills
- Prepare students for competitions or presentations by coaching on speech structure, delivery, and persuasive techniques
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes active participation
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum materials and extracurricular activities related to public speaking and debating
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching public speaking, debate, or related communication courses is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey concepts and motivate students
- Classroom experience working with diverse age groups is a plus
- Passion for education and student development with a patient and encouraging demeanor
- Ability to create an engaging learning environment that fosters confidence and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, manage classroom activities, and track student progress
Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
