Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment
- Use a forklift in the movement of materials and the associated processing required in a heavy manufacturing environment
- May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials
- Pick orders and prepare for shipping, including: stacking, wrapping, and crating products
- Pick material from warehouse for outbound orders, and ensure they are high quality materials being shipped
- Participate in clean-up and maintenance
- Perform other handling duties such as: counting, weighing, and sorting
- Put away received materials to proper storage locations
- Confirm inventory transactions are complete
- Assist in processing the receipt of incoming materials
- Work with carriers to assist in the loading of materials for shipment
- Ensure raw materials are moved to the appropriate manufacturing cells and finished goods are moved to proper inventory locations
- Assist with inventory processes.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 – 5 years relevant experience
- Forklift operator license would be an asset
- Capable of understanding key processes in the department
- Assist with inventory processes
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in material handling methodology
- Willing to work overtime as required and committed to doing what is necessary to ensure duties are completed
- Strong oral and written English language communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
- Sense of urgency with excellent attention to detail
- Other duties as assigned
