Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educators at ECE Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate educational activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate assistance
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and organizational policies related to health, safety, and child welfare
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and classroom routines
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding less experienced staff or interns when necessary
- Manage time efficiently to balance instructional duties with administrative tasks
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual abilities such as French are highly desirable
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; classroom experience is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development standards
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs with patience and understanding
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation
- Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and record management systems
- Leadership qualities to support team collaboration and mentorship of new staff or interns
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Writing skills for documentation, reports, and communication purposes
