Job Overview
RI Landscaping is a high-growth company operating in Toronto and North York. We don't do corporate fluff—we do high-quality softscaping, site transformations, and hard work. We are looking for a reliable, physically capable Field Assistant to join our team. This role is the foundation for someone who wants to learn the trade and eventually progress into a lead role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Full-Cycle Labour: Weeding, planting perennials, mulching, tree trimming, laying sod, digging, removing trees/shrubs, and thorough site cleanup.
- Equipment Handling: Daily use of digging shovels, edgers, rakes, paper waste bags, extendable shears, hand pruners, and other hand tools.
- Professional Standards: Maintaining a clean job site and ensuring all equipment is organized and well-maintained.
Requirements (What you need to bring to the table):
- Own Vehicle & Insurance: You must have your own reliable vehicle and valid insurance. This role is a stepping stone into field management; you need to be prepared for business travel.
- Physical Capability: You must be strong enough to lift 50+ lbs consistently and comfortable performing a full day of physically demanding, outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Professionalism: You show up on time, you work hard, and you take pride in the results. If you need someone to hold your hand, this isn't the role for you.
- Safety First: You are expected to wear proper safety gear at all times. CSA-approved (Grade 1/Green Patch) steel-toe boots are mandatory. (I provide the gloves and knee pads; you bring the boots).
Why work with us?
- Real Growth: We are a fast-growing landscaping company with a consistent, year-round workflow. If you show the initiative, this isn't just a "job"—it's a place to build a career in the industry.
- Direct Experience: You won't be standing around. You’ll be on the front lines, learning how a real project is executed from site prep to the final polish.
- High-Performance Environment: We’re a lean, focused team. We value effort, honesty, and getting the job done right the first time. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a winning operation.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
