Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with medical operations. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting necessary documentation.
- Handle appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently.
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth clinic workflows.
- Manage correspondence and communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments or follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Receptionist is preferred but not necessary.
- Proficiency in office software such as PS suite and other electronic medical records systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
- Previous office experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
