Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Laborers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair and removal of commercial and residential fencing, including chain link, wood, ornamental iron, acoustic fencing and gates
- Support guide rail (guardrail) installation, repair and maintenance on roadways and construction sites
- Load, unload and transport materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively (post pounders, drills, saws, grinders, etc)
- Assist with layout, measuring and site preparation
- Perform general labour tasks including excavation, concrete mixing, backfilling and site clean up
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including traffic control and roadside safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with foremen and crew members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and care for company tools and equipment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in fencing, construction or general labour is an asset (training can be provided)
- Experience with guide rail (guardrail) and guide cable installation, repair and maintenance or roadside work is considered a strong asset
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction or roadside job sites
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality and positive attitude
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
