Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing, Siding, and Windows Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with clients and project managers to ensure successful project execution. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects, utilizing your expertise in construction estimating and project management. Candidates should possess strong negotiation skills and proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools to deliver precise and competitive bids.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive estimates for roofing, siding, and window installations.
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of estimates and proposals.
- Prepare detailed bid packages, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Assist in project management activities by providing cost analysis and supporting the scheduling process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing trends, materials, and construction techniques to ensure competitive bidding.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate project scope and estimate adjustments as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in plan review .
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Experience in construction estimating for roofing, siding, or window projects.
- Knowledge of HeavyBid or comparable estimating software is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of project management principles within the construction industry.
- Construction experience that provides insight into material costs, labor rates, and installation processes.
- Excellent pricing skills combined with the ability to analyze market trends for accurate cost forecasting.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
