We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Project Manager to lead electrical scope within our projects and support electrical installations across multiple industrial job sites.
Job Summary
The Electrical & Controls Project Manager will be responsible for planning, estimating, and executing electrical work associated with MTLI’s automation, racking, and facility infrastructure projects.
This role combines electrical project management, technical estimating, and field leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with MTLI’s sales, operations, and project teams to ensure electrical installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This position includes a combination of office coordination, site visits, and occasional hands-on field leadership when required.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Project Management
- Manage electrical scope within warehouse automation and industrial construction projects
- Coordinate electricians, subcontractors, and installation schedules
- Ensure installations meet electrical codes, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Manage procurement of electrical materials and equipment
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting of installed systems
Electrical Estimating & Scope Development
- Identify electrical scope within MTLI projects
- Conduct site visits and project assessments
- Estimate labor, materials, and installation requirements
- Develop scopes and pricing for electrical installations
Field Leadership
- Lead installation teams on smaller electrical projects
- Provide field supervision on larger installations
- Support hands-on electrical work when required
- Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
Types of Electrical Systems
Projects may include installation and integration of:
- Conveyor and automation wiring
- Motor controls and safety circuits
- Electrical panels and power distribution
- Battery charging systems
- Industrial lighting installations
- Equipment hookups and relocations
- Low voltage and control systems
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years experience in industrial electrical work or electrical project management
- Experience working in industrial, warehouse, or automation environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations, panels, and power distribution
- Ability to estimate electrical work and develop project scopes
- Experience coordinating electricians or subcontractors
Preferred
- Licensed electrician or industrial electrical background
- Experience with warehouse automation or material handling systems
- Familiarity with PLC controls or automation equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$103,000.00 per year
