ABOUT OUR HIRING PROCESS
After the application period closes, applications will be reviewed by selection committees for each program area. Shortlisted applicants new to Emily Carr will be contacted for interviews, and successful candidates will be contacted regarding course offers beginning in June 2026. Please note that only course offers issued by Human Resources are official and remain subject to course enrollment.
Non-regular faculty must be physically located within British Columbia while teaching and delivering courses for Emily Carr University, including online and hybrid courses.
Emily Carr University encourages applications from individuals who demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and especially welcomes applications from groups historically marginalized or disadvantaged in employment in Canada, including women, persons of diverse gender identities and expressions, persons of all sexual orientations, racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and Indigenous peoples. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those shortlisted will be contacted.
