Purposeful Autism Support Aide

Experience in fields such as Education Assistant, Early Childhood Education, teaching, recreation, behaviour intervention, or other related support roles would be considered an asset.

Our staff receive ongoing mentorship from experienced support professionals and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). We believe in investing in our team through continuous education, hands-on training, and professional development, so you'll be well supported as you build your skills and confidence.
What You'll Do
Much of your time will be spent in the community, encouraging independence, confidence, and participation through engaging activities tailored to individual interests.
Activities may include:
- Cooking, baking, and creative decorating projects
- Arts, crafts, and hands-on creative activities
- Basketball, soccer, football, tennis, and other sports
- Running and outdoor recreation
- Swimming
- Photography and community outings
- Supporting life skills and continued learning
- Exploring job sampling opportunities
- Building confidence, independence, and meaningful community connections

Experience
- Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of experience supporting youth with autism or developmental disabilities through either professional or relevant personal experience.
Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence (required)
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C (preferred)
- Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP) clearance (preferred)
A comprehensive background and security screening will be completed before any employment offer is made.
Schedule
We are hiring both full-time and part-time team members.
While full-time availability is preferred, we are happy to consider part-time applicants who are the right fit. Evening, weekend, and Saturday availability is required.
Pay: $38.00 per hour
