Role OverviewThis is a multi-functional operations role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, staying organized, and helping maintain a clean and efficient production environment. The role combines kitchen maintenance, deep cleaning, inventory receiving, basic facility repairs, and occasional transportation support.
You will play a key role in helping keep our production facility clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Kitchen Maintenance & Organization
Schedule: Thursdays | 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep, and storage areas
- Build, install, and adjust shelving or storage racks to improve workspace organization
- Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks using basic tools including:
- Drill
- Screwdrivers
- Assembly and tightening tools
- Assemble or repair shelves, racks, and storage equipment
- Help optimize kitchen and storage spaces for operational efficiency
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
- Support overall kitchen operations while maintaining food safety standards
2. Full Facility Cleaning & Sanitation
Schedule: Sundays & Tuesdays | 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of the full facility, including:
- Production and prep areas
- Dishwashing area
- Storage rooms
- Equipment and appliances
- Washrooms
- Office space
- Walk-in coolers
- Loading bay areas
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, drains, shelves, and high-touch surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of operational tools and equipment
- Manage garbage disposal, recycling, and waste organization
- Ensure facility cleanliness meets health and sanitation standards
3. Order Receiving & Inventory Support
Schedule: Fridays & Mondays | 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries against invoices and purchase orders
- Inspect products for quality, quantity, and expiry dates
- Organize and store inventory using FIFO procedures
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management
- Assist with moving and organizing inventory throughout the facility
4. Driving & Transportation Support
As Needed
- Transport products, supplies, or materials between company locations
- Load and unload products and materials safely
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
- Clean driving record preferred
- Comfortable using basic maintenance and assembly tools
- Ability to lift and move boxes, equipment, and materials
- Previous experience in kitchen operations, warehouse, maintenance, or cleaning is an asset
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Food Safe Certification is an asset or willingness to obtain

Pay: $18.35-$21.00 per hour
