CONTRACT POSITION SUMMARY
As a Building Leasing Manager, you will be responsible for leasing suites and all documentation required to achieve full occupancy and tenant satisfaction. Also doing some cleaning and upkeep of the property as required.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Leasing and Marketing residential suites;
- Ensuring that all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Monthly rent collections and general administrative duties, including move in and move out procedures;
- Building positive relationships with tenants, managing their expectations and promptly responding to their concerns;
- Ensuring outstanding cleanliness and best presentation is maintained throughout the property;
- Annual suite inspections and overseeing service-trades as required;
- Trouble shooting and problem-solving unexpected emergencies;
- Providing regular updates to owners;
- Working effectively with the building maintenance manager and other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
- Proven track record for managing customer expectations and providing outstanding customer service;
- Previous experience in sales and marketing, preferably in leasing multi-family residential units
- Ability to form effective, trustworthy relationships with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures;
- The ability to understand a situation from someone else’s perspective, the ability to help them understand your perspective, and the ability to influence a positive outcome;
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills;
- Effective time management skills and the attitude for “making it happen” and “getting it done”;
- Familiarity with the BC Residential Tenancy Act and regulations;
- Experience as a building manager is an asset;
- Providing a criminal check and having an excellent credit rating is essential.
- Vehicle and driver's license required.
