Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Foundation Form Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing formwork for foundations, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete forming, carpentry, and heavy equipment operation to ensure the safe and efficient completion of foundational structures. Candidates should have experience with blueprint reading, masonry, rebar installation, and concrete finishing to contribute effectively to our projects.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and dismantle formwork for building foundations using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute foundation layouts
- Install rebar reinforcement according to specifications, ensuring proper placement for structural integrity
- Operate heavy machinery safely during form construction and removal processes
- Perform masonry tasks including caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes to achieve desired surface quality
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving concrete work and structural modifications
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete forming, carpentry, masonry, or related construction fields
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and hand/power tools
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete finishing, welding, caulking, flooring installation, and restoration techniques is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and building regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in schematic interpretation and execution
- Prior experience with renovation projects or structural modifications is a plus
- Must be reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$37.50 per hour
