We are seeking full time permanent Extruder Operators to join our clients team.

We are not offering a relocation package. We will prioritize candidates who reside in or near Colborne Ontario.
Please note, this position does require you to work rotating 12 hour continental shifts, days and midnights
We are seeking 2 dedicated and detail-oriented Extruder Operators to join our clients manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with manufacturing equipment, and a commitment to quality and precision. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate plastics extrusion machinery
- Monitor the extrusion process continuously, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal output and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and surface finish.
- Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and operate forklifts when necessary for raw material or finished product movement.
- Conduct visual inspections for defects or inconsistencies in extruded products and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following safety protocols and company policies.
Experience
- Prior experience in plastics extrusion is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes involving plastics injection molding,
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts is beneficial.
- Basic math skills are essential for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment or in materials management supports operational efficiency.
- Understanding of quality inspection techniques using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers is important.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with knowledge of hand tools
