Snow Groomer
Location: Vista Ridge All Seasons Park – Fort McMurray, AB
Compensation: $25.00 – $29.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Job Summary
Are you passionate about the mountain lifestyle and dedicated to creating the perfect snow surface? As a Snow Groomer at Vista Ridge All Seasons Park, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our grooming machinery to maintain high-quality downhill runs, terrain parks, roadways, lift ramps, and staging areas. Working under the direction of the Mountain Operations team, you will ensure our guests enjoy exceptional conditions, assist with special event preparation, and collaborate closely with the Snowmaking department to manage the hill's snowpack.
Essential Job Functions
- Machine Operation: Safely operate grooming machines to perform free grooming on downhill runs and maintain four Terrain Parks.
- Snow Management: Assist with snow removal around buildings and work closely with the Snowmaking department to maintain an optimal snowpack.
- Equipment Care: Conduct regular cleaning, basic maintenance, and fill out daily maintenance and operational logs for the snow cats.
- Event Support: Assist with special event preparation, including races, snowboard events, and terrain features.
- Flexibility: Perform other operational duties around the park as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Abilities
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of previous snow grooming experience is required.
- Skills: Strong asset if you have Winch Cat experience, previous snowmaking experience, or general experience operating heavy machinery.
- Attributes: Must be dependable, able to work independently without direct supervision, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Resilience: Comfortable working in adverse, changing winter environmental conditions.
Working Conditions
- Duties are primarily performed outdoors in a variety of winter weather conditions.
- Hours of operation are weather-dependent. This role requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods in heavy machinery, lifting, twisting, and performing manual tasks.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks
