We are currently working on creating a new weekend shift schedule for the Fall of 2026. Once in place this position will run 7am to 7 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You will receive 8% vacation accrual (2 weeks employer scheduled and 2 weeks employee scheduled). As a Salaried employee you will work 36 hours but paid for 40 hours per week.
Previous experience in Heavy Truck Industry experience is required.
Reporting to the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager, the Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service repair work and following the progress of repairs throughout the shift. Assisting customers and technicians in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts and supplies. You will be responsible for overseeing the parts and service counters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing strong working relationships.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention/
- Translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders.
- Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases
- Communicate technical information clearly to customers, including recommended repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and obtain customer approvals.
- Monitor repair progress and provide timely status updates.
- Collect payment from customers for services rendered.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding services, escalate to management as required.
- Review completed work orders for accuracy before closing.
- Maintain and establish digital communication with customers
- Obtain customer signature on repair orders.
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
- Assist walk-in, over the phone or via email customers with parts identification and sales.
- Identify correct parts using VIN/ESN and electronic parts catalog systems.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and product information.
- Process customer orders, invoices, and returns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stocking.
- Pre-pull and stage parts for scheduled service repairs.
Basic Qualifications
- Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
- Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, proficiency with software and computers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a current and valid G class driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
