Position Overview
Reporting to the Head Chef and Lead Server, the Server plays an important role in creating an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the dining room while providing warm, attentive service that consistently exceeds resident expectations.

Compensation
$20.71 to $23.37 per hour
Major Responsibilities
- Deliver hospitality services that consistently exceed resident expectations.
- Promote excellence in customer service throughout the dining experience.
- Help create enjoyable, memorable, and engaging mealtime experiences.
- Strive to surprise and delight residents through personalized service.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in food quality and service delivery.
- Accommodate residents with dietary, allergy, and health-related restrictions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Ensure tables and dining areas are prepared and ready for residents and guests.
- Be aware of and respond appropriately to special requests, dietary restrictions, allergies, and food intolerances.
- Anticipate resident needs by actively listening and responding positively to questions, concerns, and requests.
- Build trusting relationships with residents through respectful, compassionate, and attentive service.
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive dining environment.
Qualifications
- Genuine enjoyment of and heart for serving seniors.
- Demonstrated alignment with Martindale Place’s values of Servant Heart, Respect, Christian Love, and Excellence.
- Minimum two years of dining room, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Current Food Handler Certificate.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Current, original, and acceptable Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screen (completed within the past six months).
