Position Overview
Cowichan Eyecare is looking for a Pre-tester / Optical Assistant to join our clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a career in eye care.
You’ll play an important part in the patient experience, supporting both the clinical team and front-end flow of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and guide them through their visit
- Collect case histories and prepare patients for exams
- Perform pre-testing and assist with diagnostic equipment
- Administer eye drops and explain procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment
- Help manage patient flow between reception and clinical areas
- Support contact lens training and follow-ups
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date
