Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Volunteers to support our organization’s initiatives and community outreach efforts. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission while gaining valuable experience in leadership, project management, and community engagement. A Volunteer at the Prairie Dog Central Railway will play a vital role in assisting with various projects, events, and programs, fostering positive relationships within the community and supporting organizational goals.
Duties
- Assist with planning and executing community events and outreach programs
- Support project management activities, including coordinating schedules and resources
- Engage with community members through public speaking engagements and informational sessions
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and improve outreach strategies
- Contribute to marketing efforts by creating promotional materials and managing social media platforms
- Provide administrative support such as record keeping, data entry, and correspondence
- Recruit new volunteers and participants for various programs
- Offer mentorship or teaching assistance in educational or training sessions
- Supervise other volunteers during events or activities to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences
- A proactive attitude
- Teaching or mentorship experience is desirable but not required
- Must be reliable, organized, and committed to supporting our organization’s mission
- Able to stand for periods of time.

Train Rides are traditionally:
Wednesday 11am
Friday 630pm
Saturday & Sunday 11am
Reliable transportation is required to 64099 Prairie Dog Central Trail in Rosser, MB.
All Volunteers will have to complete a background check issued by the Prairie Dog Central Railway.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
