WELC is looking for a Childcare Support Staff to work part-time in our before and after school program for children with Enhanced Needs from August 2026 to June 2027.
The Support Staff will work directly with children requiring additional support to ensure they can fully participate in our programs in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusion and helping children reach their full potential.
The hours are:
Split Shifts: 7am - 9am AND 2:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday
Some full days (8 hour shift) maybe required.
Location: Successful candidates may be assigned to any WELC location and must be willing to travel between sites as required.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with education and/or experience in:
- Early Childhood Education
- Child and Youth Care
- Educational Assistant programs
- Developmental Services
- Social Service Worker programs
- Behavioural Sciences
- Autism and Behavioural Sciences
- Recreation and Leisure programs
- Or a related field
Requirements:
- Must have valid First Aid and CPR (level C)
- Recent criminal reference check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up to date immunizations and be a member in good standing of The College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Reliable transportation

Start date: Training to commence Aug 24th, programs start September 8th.
