About Us:
At District 22, we are dedicated to providing nutritious and appealing meals in cafeterias accross Montreal and surroundings. We are seeking a dependable Kitchen Assistant to join our cafeteria team and contribute to a positive dining experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food and snack inventory, restock shelves and beverages as needed
- Assist with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining food safety standards.
- Process payments accurately by operating the cash register and handling cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Support kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth operations during meal times.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to requests professionally.
- Follow all health and safety regulations as required by school policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cafeteria setting is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must have no criminal record and pass background checks as mandated by school policy.
