The Mental Health program is seeking a regular part time Program Assistant to join their team.

The Mental Health Program Assistant will act as the primary support for the administrative, clinical and medical operations of Joseph Brant Mental Health Program.

In a self-directed manner, the incumbent will provide the full range of support services including: supporting the Chief of Psychiatry with all the administrative tasks in leading the department. Maintaining accounting and budget records of program expenditures, preparation of correspondence, forms, proposals and presentations. Development and management of the Outpatient schedule which includes all payroll functions. Prepares agenda's, minutes, attachments for various program committees, creating and maintaining databases, assisting with the development and maintenance of program manuals, policies and procedures,

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Medical Office Administration Program;
  • Exceptional computer skills in the collection, validation, revision and submission of all Program & Ministry mandated (MIS/CDS/CRMS/OCAN/IAR) data.
  • Sound knowledge of Mental Health reporting requirements to the Ministry is essential to ensure significant Ministry-mandated reporting requirements are met.
  • Knowledge and skill of physician renumeration/reconciliation, both sessional and stipend allocations.
  • Exceptional customer service is the goal for all client, family and community contacts.
  • Exceptional computer skills in Meditech, Excel, MS Office and online systems.
  • Strong time management skills to meet competing priorities and deadlines, organizational and decision making abilities combined with strong judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional data analysis skills to respond to special project requests.
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented and demonstrate initiative.
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance as this position is central to overall Mental Health Program operations.
