Tipsy Trivia runs high-energy trivia, music bingo, Name That Tune, karaoke, themed events, tournaments, and private events at busy bars, restaurants, and venues.
We’re growing and looking for confident, reliable hosts who can grab a mic, read a room, keep the energy moving, and run a professional live event from start to finish.
This is a great fit for performers, teachers, servers, bartenders, karaoke hosts, trivia lovers, theatre people, radio/podcast personalities, streamers, or anyone who enjoys being the person who brings the room to life.
About the Role
As a Tipsy Trivia host, you’ll be the face of the event at your venue.
You are not expected to write trivia or create games. We provide the content, software, training, format, and support. Your job is to show up prepared, run the event smoothly, engage the crowd, and make sure guests and venue staff have a great experience.
Some nights are loud. Some rooms start slow. Sometimes tech needs troubleshooting. A strong host can stay calm, keep things moving, and make the night feel fun even when live events get a little chaotic.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Hosting live trivia, music bingo, Name That Tune, karaoke, and themed events
- Explaining rules clearly and confidently
- Engaging players and keeping the energy up throughout the night
- Running provided event software from your laptop
- Setting up basic event tech such as a laptop, microphone, and TV connection
- Coordinating professionally with venue staff
- Arriving early and staying organized
- Managing the flow, timing, and pace of the event
- Communicating with the Tipsy Trivia team before and after events
- Completing light event-related admin when needed
Must-Have Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Regular evening availability
- Strong availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends
- A reliable personal vehicle
- A working laptop capable of running browser-based event software
- A smartphone with data
- Comfort speaking on a microphone in front of a live crowd
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Applications that do not meet the vehicle, laptop, and availability requirements may not be considered.
Bonus Experience
Experience in any of the following is a strong asset:
- Hosting or emceeing
- Karaoke, DJ, trivia, bingo, or live entertainment
- Theatre, improv, comedy, radio, podcasting, or streaming
- Teaching, training, coaching, or public speaking
- Serving, bartending, promotions, or customer-facing roles
- Running events in bars, restaurants, or live venues

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who are confident, dependable, and comfortable being the energy in the room.
You do not need to be a trivia expert. You do need to be organized, personable, tech-capable, and able to lead a room full of guests with confidence.
The right person can make strangers feel welcome, keep a game on track, work professionally with venue staff, and handle a busy night without getting rattled.
Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to regular weekly or recurring availability for at least 6 months.
