We are currently seeking a Product Development & Test Technician in both electrical and mechanical aspects to join our Production Engineering team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be responsible for testing, evaluation, and validation of electrical and mechanical systems, components, and products.
Job Responsibilities:
Test Execution:
- Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on drum motors using specialized equipment, and instrumentation.
- Perform functional, performance, durability, and reliability tests to evaluate the electrical and mechanical properties of drum motors under various operating conditions.
Test Planning and Development:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for both electrical and mechanical testing of drum motors, considering relevant standards, product specifications, and project/customer requirements.
- Collaborate with R & D engineers to define test objectives, requirements, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products
Troubleshooting and Resolution:
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, failures, or malfunctions encountered during testing, and collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose root cause.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address identified problems and ensure product compliance with quality standards
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed test reports, documenting test procedures, results, findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of testing activities, deviations, and corrective actions taken to support product development and quality assurance processes
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry standards, and safety protocols in all testing activities related to drum motors.
- Stay updated on advancements in testing technology, industry standards, and best practices to drive innovation and quality improvement in product testing and development.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in testing methodologies or quality assurance are an asset.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in testing and validation roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the field of drum motor manufacturing.
- Familiarity with 3 phase electric motors
- Proficiency in electrical testing techniques, including experience with electrical measurements, instrumentation, and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of electrical components and systems commonly used in drum motors, such as motors, sensors, and controllers.
- Strong understanding of mechanical testing methodologies, including mechanical measurements, stress testing, and durability testing.
- Experience with mechanical testing equipment and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze test data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making.
- Experience in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues encountered during testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in preparing clear and concise test reports, documentation, and presentations to convey testing results, findings, and recommendations.

Pay: $70,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
