Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in providing excellent customer service in a fast paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Will also need to help in the kitchen as required. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication and math skills.
Hours: 3 pm to 10 pm with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off .
Duties
- Operate POS systems, to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with food orders, including upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Prepare basic food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station and dining area in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Support food preparation and serving staff when necessary to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours smoothly
- Kitchen or food handling experience is desirable but not required
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
