Position: Service and Production Technician
- Location: Quebec
- Schedule: 40 hours/ week
Responsibilities:
- Perform assemblies for hydraulic and pneumatic units.
- Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic panels.
- Perform in-house and field repairs, provide emergency service, and carry out on-site troubleshooting as required.
- Diagnose issues related to hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, control, and electrical systems.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Install and commission hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Fabricate and install tubing and hoses in the shop.
- Follow company processes and procedures for all service calls, repairs, and warranty requests, including proper documentation in our system.
- Provide technical assistance and product guidance to customers.
- Inform customers about products and provide recommendations for system modifications.
- Build trust with customers and develop strong relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate with and visit key customers according to a strategic schedule.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies at Wainbee and customer facilities.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 2 or more years of experience in industrial mechanics and/or hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic schematics is an asset.
- Technical training and demonstrated knowledge of industrial products are an asset.
- Must be able to carry, lift, push, and pull at least 50 lb on a regular basis.
- Must be able to bend, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
- Must be able to use hand tools and have their own tools for the shop.
- Must be able to travel to customer sites up to 100% of the time, including interprovincial travel, if required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
- Must be able to travel to customer sites.
- Strong communication skills and technical knowledge.
- Must pass a background check and provide a driver’s abstract.
