POSITION SUMMARY
As the Shipper/Receiver/Fabricator, you will be a member of our growing team in Edmonton AB. Your responsibilities will include shipping and receiving materials/parts, performing quality control on all materials received, organizing the warehouse, and safely operating forklifts. As well as, Warehouse Fabricator you will be assisting in the manufacture of components or finished goods. Performing many operations within a defined process under some supervision, Warehouse Fabricators work diligently to achieve daily warehouse requirements and meet customer expectations. The successful candidate should be able to collaborate with management, and other team members to achieve company goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and perform QC on all materials delivered.
- Organization and filing of shipping and receiving documents as required.
- Balance excellent safe working habits with a healthy sense of urgency.
- Material handling and warehouse organization.
- Embrace collaboration and seek performance feedback from peers.
- Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and presentable.
- Safely load and unload trucks with a forklift.
- Safely load and unload pallet racking with a forklift.
- Work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
- Produce product to specification (tolerances, surface finish, trueness of part) by following work instructions within expected warehouse times, procedures and using the correct raw materials.
- Report equipment faults to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Safety-first mentality is required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs safely.
- Prior experience with operating a forklift is preferred.
- Experience with table saws, drill presses and other hand tools (preferred).
- Able to read a tape measure.
- Displays adaptability, flexibility, and a positive professional attitude.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record.
