Job Posting: Clerk / Cashier / Customer Service (Part-Time)
Location: Maison Fresh, St. Lawrence Market, Toronto, ON
Compensation: $18–$20/hour, 30-40 hours per week
About Maison Fresh: Maison Fresh is a premium produce and plant-based prepared foods store based inside Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market south building located at 93 Front Street East. We market the best of local, organic and seasonal Ontario foods.
We are seeking 1 team members to join our front-of-house crew as we have several employees returning to school. If you're enthusiastic about local, exotic and organic produce, customer service, and supporting a business rooted in values, we’d love to meet you. 20-40 hours +/- per week, opportunity to grow into 5-6 days a week full time position may be possible in the future, weekend availability is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the welcoming face of the store
- Process sales at the register using debit/credit POS systems
- Engage with customers and share product knowledge
- Restock and merchandise packaged and fresh goods
- Keep the retail space tidy and organized
- Support opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service or cashier roles
- Must be able to project voice loudly as it is a noisy environment
- Experience with front end POS systems and handling cash and debit transactions
- Must be highly fluent in English
- Basic math and computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with retail produce and prep
