Sales Associate — Tapestry Music, Vancouver (Main Street)
We're hiring a Sales Associate for our Main Street store in Vancouver. If you play an instrument and love talking gear, we want to hear from you.
Pay & Schedule
$22/hour, part-time, four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
What You'll Do
- Help customers through the buying and renting of musical instruments and gear
- Define each customer's needs and match them with the right products and services
- Demonstrate recommended products and explain their features and benefits
- Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Take in rentals, repairs, and special orders at the counter and follow up with customers and suppliers on order status
- Ring through sales and handle returns and exchanges
- Maintain in-depth, current knowledge of our products, pricing, and procedures
- Merchandise the store to keep it clean, stocked, and inviting for customers
- Participate in cycle counts, stock checks, opening/closing, and other store duties
- Attend staff meetings and periodic training sessions
- Escalate pricing questions or anything beyond your call to the Store Manager
Job Requirements
- Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and steady composure
- Strong work ethic and commitment
- High energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to lift and carry boxes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previous retail or sales experience is an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
