Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service while maintaining competitive pricing and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
- Utilize estimating software to prepare precise cost proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Review project documents to identify potential risks, scope changes, or cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in bid preparation by compiling labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.
- Support project management teams throughout the project lifecycle by providing accurate cost insights.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the electrical or general contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies
- Experience using estimating software is highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Construction experience that provides a solid understanding of project management principles is a plus.
