Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting flooring installers on residential, multi-residential, and commercial projects, preparing job sites, handling materials, and ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and ready for installation. The ideal candidate is dependable and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily work orders, schedules, and project requirements.
- Prepare and clean substrate surfaces to ensure they are ready for flooring installation.
- Load, unload, transport, and deliver flooring materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
- Assist Flooring Installation Technicians with measuring, cutting, and installing flooring materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment throughout the day.
- Perform daily site clean-up and ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored at the end of each shift.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Support team members with various construction and labour tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Previous construction, flooring, or general labour experience is considered an asset, but training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on various job sites and adapt to changing project requirements.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
