Job Overview
We are recruiting an Electrical Foreman to join our team for projects in Northern Alberta. The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising electrical crews while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to coordinate daily activities and support successful project execution.
Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical crews on construction and industrial projects

Plan and assign work to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule

Install, maintain, and oversee the installation and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment

Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project plans

Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to maintain workflow and project schedules

Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, company standards, and safety regulations

Conduct inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of completed electrical work

Mentor, train, and support electricians and apprentices, promoting safe work practices and continuous development

Identify and resolve technical and operational issues in the field

Complete daily reports, maintain project documentation, and communicate project progress to management

Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used and maintained properly
Requirements

Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification

Minimum 5 years of electrical experience, including previous supervisory or foreman experience

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Thorough understanding of applicable electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices

Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment

Valid driver's licence is considered an asset

Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, including cannabis
