About Us
Strathmore Remedy'sRx Pharmacy is a locally owned, patient-focused community pharmacy serving Strathmore and the surrounding area. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Student to join our team for the summer and gain valuable hands-on experience in community pharmacy practice.
Position Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy student to develop practical skills while working alongside experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in a fast-paced community pharmacy. Students will gain exposure to dispensing, patient care, pharmacy operations, and professional practice.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication reviews and clinical assessments.
- Support pharmacist-led clinics for minor ailments and prescribing services.
- Assist with prescription dispensing and daily pharmacy operations.
- Assist patients with over-the-counter product selection.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
- Registered or eligible to register as a Pharmacy Student with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous community pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.
