Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled server / Bartender to join our team for Viva Pizzeria & Pasta at 158 O'Connor drive East York Toronto. The ideal candidate should have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks to customers following standard recipes
- Interact with customers charismatically, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely drink service
Experience
- Previous experience in bartending or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and basic math skills
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures and handling cash transactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Experience in the food industry is a plus
