POSITION SUMMARY
The Faculty of Natural Sciences at the King’s University is seeking a sessional lab instructor(s) in Kinesiology
for the following courses in the 2026-27 academic year. Candidates are welcome to apply for an individual
course, or all listed courses.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Fall 2026
KINS 318 – Exercise Physiology
3 hour lab Monday 2:00 – 5:00
This course is an introduction to exercise physiology and offers students the ability to investigate the
human body at rest and examine the physiological responses to various forms of acute and chronic
exercise.
KINS 335 – Biomechanics
1.5 hour lab Wednesday 2:00 – 3:30
This course is an introduction to the mechanics of human movement. Students will examine key
biomechanics and kinetics concepts as they are applied to sport and exercise.
KINS 418 – Fitness Assessment
1.5 hour lab Wednesday 3:30 – 5:00
This course provides a comprehensive overview of fitness assessment methods for diverse populations,
including healthy adults, clinical populations, older adults, children, and athletes.
Winter 2027
KINS 319 – Clinical Exercise Physiology
1.5 hour lab Monday 2:00 – 3:30
This course introduces the principles of clinical exercise physiology, emphasizing the role of exercise in
the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
