Master of Professional Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis OR/
Master of Psychology, Specialty in Applied Behaviour Analysis OR/
Master of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education
Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) - graduate-level certification in behavior analysis or in the process of obtaining.
3-5 years experience with providing behavioural assessment and intervention services
Experience in working with Acquired Brain Injury clients
Experience with behavioural planning, development, and delivery of service
Knowledgeable about crisis intervention and prevention techniques
Experience with partnering with other agencies to deliver services
Experience with managing a staff (recruitment, performance planning, development, supervision etc)
Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skill
Experience developing proposals for grant applications, research and program development
Evidence of satisfactory attendance record

Clinical – ABIBS inpatient program
Accountable for the quality of client care
Provide direct clinical sessions to patients in the inpatient program based on patients’ clinical needs
Identify and lead clinical assessments and intervention activities,
Develop appropriate client rehabilitation and discharge plan, including sign-off.
Collect and analyze patient clinical data to inform interventions and progress
Provide periodic clinical on-call duty for off hours and weekends on a rotational roster.
Responsible for program evaluation through the collection of statistics and metrics.
People Leadership – ABIBS inpatient program
Provide ongoing clinical direction and communicate to direct reports.
Clinically supervises frontline staff (e.g., monitor staff clinical performance, planning and development goals, assigns clinical accountabilities, sets clinical objectives, establish clinical priorities).
Consults and aligns with Manager of the ABIBS Services in terms of program staffing needs and professional development
Educates and coaches all clinical ABIBS staff (BTs, RNs and BSWs) on contemporary ABI subject matter.
Sets and monitors clinical and performance indicators of all direct reports in accordance to accreditation standards and center guidelines.
Admission to ABIBS inpatient program
Assess all client referrals, select clients, and coordinates admission to the inpatient program
Consult with the Physician and Psychologist regarding referrals.
Recruitment – ABIBS inpatient program
Assist the Manager to recruit staff with the appropriate qualifications and training in order to support and sustain the neurobehavioural rehabilitation program at West Park
Education and networking
Partner with post-secondary institutions, to maintain a student program at the Centre
Represent the Centre at professional conferences, events in the areas of ABIBS clinical services provision, and promote the program
Oversee the development and execution of the ABIBS clinical programs provided by the Centre including behavioural inpatient, day, and community program clients.
Participate with program development, coordination, and continuous quality improvement of the service delivery model.
Assists the Centre with the identification, development, and implementation of integration opportunities.
Clinical – ABIBS day and outpatient programs
Consult on clinical assessments and intervention activities
Consult on client rehabilitation and discharge plans
Advice on clinical program planning as needed
Be a resource for day and outreach program for all clinical enquires including admissions to the programs
Collaborate with Director of Operations, Service Manager (ABIBS) and professional practice to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the service and the Centre that includes:
Training and professional development for staff
Building capacity for behavioural interventions Centre wide
